Welcome to St. Mary’s Religious Education Program. It is important that all children participate in this program so that they can obtain a formal education in the Catholic Faith and also be prepared to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
Our program is for 3 year old, and for grades Pre-K to 12. Students meet every Sunday. All children report to Mass at 9:30 a.m. and sign their names in the Religious Education Attendance Book which is on the stand near the tabernacle. After mass they come to class. Class begins at 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. All dismissals are from the St Joseph’s Center at the end of class.
We expect children attending public schools to be enrolled in our Religious Education Program every year so that they have the opportunity to learn about their faith. Each year the curriculum is different. Not attending each year will delay the process of your child receiving their sacrament.
We expect children to attend Mass every Sunday with their families. Religious Education is not just about learning one’s faith – it is living out one’s faith and participating in the worship and sacramental life of the Church.
