Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion and perfection of the graces of Baptism. The faithful are fully initiated into the Catholic Church once they have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Here at St. Mary’s, children begin their preparations for Confirmation after completing their First Holly Communion and are confirmed when they are in the eighth grade. These preparations take place in St. Mary’s Sunday School starting in September.

Please see the Sunday School section of this website for more information about registration.

We also offer an opportunity for adults who are not yet confirmed to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation through our RCIA program.  The RCIA program provides adults with the opportunity to receive the sacrament of Baptism, Holly Communion, and Confirmation.  The RCIA program starts a week after Ash Wednesday and participants will receive their Sacraments on the Feast of Pentecost.
